Room temperature synthesis and phase transformation of lithium phosphate Li<sub>3</sub>PO<sub>4</sub>as solid electrolyte

We successfully prepared single-phase sample of the low-temperature ?-type form lithium phosphate Li3PO4 by a stoichiometric mixing LiOH solution and NH4H2PO4 powder at room temperature without heating. The orthorhombic lattice parameters with space group Pmn21 for ?-Li3PO4 were refined to be = 6.1281(6) Å, b 5.2674(5) c 4.8923(2) V 157.92(2) Å3. also high-temperature ?-Li3PO4 heating 650°C. Pmnb 6.12569(5) 10.48730(9) 4.92957(4) 316.685(4) structure transformation from ?- ?-type phase was examined utilizing XRD measurements. data confirmed continuous change in range between 25°C contraction observed 150°C 350°C. around 450°C. spherical primary particle size ca. 20–30 nm order both samples. Accordingly, nano-sized can easily using present synthetic technique temperature.
